This is a Humidor I made years ago, but I didn't like the top, which you can see in the last photo. Because I didn't like the top, it sat around the wood shop for at least 3 or 4 years collecting sawdust, which you can also see in the last photo. So, with a modified version of the technique I developed to make the three-person chess board last month, I made the humidor more interesting. Granted, I'm sure I'm not the first person to develop the technique, but I did figure out how to do it on my own- it wasn't like some woodshop gnome came out of a cloud of sawdust and said, "Hey, this is how you make a three-person chess board." I pretty much had to figure it out on my own. The green wood is Lignum Vitae (Latin for "the wood of life"), the dark wood is Walnut, and the inside is lined with Spanish Cedar.
