I finally found a piece of Holley long enough to make a frame for my Velvet Elvis.  I commissioned my friend Jeremy Sniatecki to do the painting several years back.  I used triangular ebony plugs in the corners.  It's the essence of cheese with a bit of class.


I made a couple of bottle openers and a pen from some of the Red Oak burl.  My father used to call it the church key, so I labeled them so and gave him one.

This is an oddly shaped bowl of Blood wood and Spalted American Elm.
